I had a lovely wet Oregon fall photo shoot in Oneonta Gorge with Hillary Younger and Gary Randall yesterday. The logjam we climbed was huge, the pool we waded deep. Hillary went in over her head, but the gear stayed dry. Good times with wonderful friends...
I've been wanting to create a panoramic merger of the back of Oneonta with the falls for some time. This overcast day was perfect, and the first bit of fall color added a nice touch. The rain and mist always presents a challenge, but diligent use of a plastic bag and microfiber rag proved successful.
Hilary leaves today to continue on her adventure. Sad as I am to see her go, I'm also happy to see her head back into the deep wilderness with her creative gear. I can't wait to see the amazing images she creates next. When she won my photo contest last year I didn't just encounter a great artist, but also wound up making an incredible lifelong friend. Safe travels Hillary!
