Leica Q3 43mm Settings

IMPORTANT: Firmware in the Q3 28mm version introduced a profile upload bug whereby the Fn2 button toggles from photo to video instead of behaving as custom programmed in imported profiles. Sadly that bug remains in the Q3 43mm. This video (YouTube link) explains the bug in detail and explains how to resolve the issue. Please watch before updating your either focal length Q3’s firmware.

Profile Installation Instructions:

  1. Download this small .lcs file (settings.ics). It is different from the Q3 28mm settings file.

  2. If your computer names the file "settings(1).lcs" or 2 or another number because of duplicates in the download folder, then you MUST edit the file name to read only "settings.lcs" or the camera will not read it.

  3. Copy it to the root of your SD memory card

  4. Insert the card in your camera and choose "Import Profiles" from the "User Profile - Manage Profiles" section of your Leica's menu.

Before installing my settings file, you should be familiar with the process of saving and loading settings files for the Q3, and you should save your current settings, in case you run into a problem.

My full Q3 setup video is below and applies equally to the 28 & 43mm versions (YouTube link)

Due to the number of settings files downloaded, I cannot provide customer support for using this file or my settings.
